The Hound Hoop is specifically designed to be much easier and safe for a dog to grab in the water.

With a disc, the flat, thin, surface  tends to force a dog to keep its teeth closed tightly and allows very little access to air while swimming.

​

 

A ball, generally allows a dog to keep their mouth open, but then the ball fills their mouth and also allows very little access to air while swimming.

​

 

You may often hear a dog huffing and wheezing from exertion when retrieving in the water because they are struggling to get enough air.  Many times this results in them sucking in water as well.

​

 

The Hound Hoop patent pending design creates air channels along the toy to facilitate breathing regardless of the position the dog is holding the toy.

The Hound Hoop is made of buoyant high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is one of the safest and most durable plastics.  It is UV resistant and non-pourous, thus it won’t absorb water and resists the growth of bacteria and mildew.  This makes easy to rinse off and resistant to odors as well.
